Four Japanese manufacturers Pull 3.4 Million Cars



TOKYO - Announced Thursday (04/11/2013), four Japanese manufacturers, Toyota, Nissan, Honda and Mazda-yack will conduct a campaign to attract a total of millions of their vehicles due to the problem with the airbag.

Previously there were five cases in Japan and the U.S. which shows the airbag does not work perfectly, Toyota said there are parts of the airbag that indicated a technical defect that could cause the airbags inflate and rupture with abnormally during an impact, so as quoted by NBC.

Airbags will be filled with excessive pressure, the result of iron materials on inflator will rupture, fragments can get out of the airbag and potentially injuring passengers.

This is a parts manufacturer Takata, they are used in the production of all cars will be subject to recall. Toyota will attract 1.73 million vehicles around the world, as many as 1.14 million units of Honda, and Nissan as many as 480 thousand units, while Mazda will recall 45,500 units of the vehicle, as reported by Reuters. Replacement parts will only take one to two hours for all models.

But it said also, the new Takata informed that the unit will be replaced only 2 million vehicles. This difference has not received official assurance, while the Toyota statement on airbag issue is not likely to involve more number of vehicles.
