BEIJING - Volvo V40 to be one of the premium hatchback that offers advanced features with charming designs. This car started teasing Asian market via China.
Reported Carnewschina, Friday (05/04/2013) Swedish manufacturer Volvo V40 will be launched in the Bamboo Curtain country on 16 April 2013. While the V40 Cross Country is rumored to be followed later this year.
Volvo V40 is offered with a choice of the 2.0 turbo 5-cylinder engine capable of blowing power up to 178 horsepower with a peak torque of 300 Nm.
Volvo V40 is present in China to rival the Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz A-Class, and BMW 1-Series. In China, Volvo V40 prices range from 240 thousand yuan, equivalent to Rp377 million to 320 thousand yuan or Rp503 million.
The car was imported directly from Sweden, Volvo itself has no plan to produce locally.
The manufacturer Geely Volvo itself will build a factory in Chengdu. The plant will start production of Volvo S60L, Volvo XC60 and a small sedan that is still a secret.
